Dominic was born in Avezzano, a town 70 miles east of Rome. At the age of eight, he moved to Seattle, Washington, with his mother, father, and sister in 1961. His father was an international chef who was hired to work in an Italian restaurant in Seattle. With his father’s health deteriorating, they relocated to Rome in 1969. Dominic later went back to attend Buffalo State University College.

After college, he returned to work for the airports of Rome and then as a director of sales for a cosmetic company. At the same time, he also started a contemporary art company and began to become a collector of arts.

Later, he returned to the United States, relocating to Dallas in 2002 to work in commercial real estate. After three years, he had an opportunity to work for a store in Dallas as a wardrobe consultant. He always loved fashion and clothing and after 20 years he had the opportunity of starting his own family business, Di Lorenzo Custom Suits & Apparel.
